I am Vanessa Webb and have both a musical and scientific background. I learned the piano from the age of 5 and then recorders, guitar and clarinet. I have grade 5 theory, piano, grade 6 recorders and grade 8 clarinet. Over the years I have been in a number of choirs, orchestras, ensembles and taught recorders at school and privately. \u00a0I left university with a degree and PhD in Biochemistry then worked in product development for a large blue chip company in Health and Beauty care for 12 years. Once I had children I looked for a job which fitted round my family and started teaching music and movement\u00a0 lessons to\u00a0 children. I became the director of the UK\/Ireland Kindermusik company in 2004 and built up the organisation from around 5 to 120 educators, running a successful\u00a0 business for the last 10 years. More recently I have become interested in the therapeutic impact of singing.\u00a0 Building on my skills I have\u00a0developed a programme using the latest research, developing bespoke programmes for adult groups, the\u00a0 elderly, care settings and private groups with carers. I have\u00a0 also\u00a0trained as a Singing for the brain leader for for the Alzheimer\u2019s society and helped \u00a0at groups locally.\u00a0I am married with 2 sons,\u00a025 and 22 and live in Camberley.<\/p>\n
